learn more about this makeup product and how to use it

The "CC" in "CC Cream" stands for "color correction" or "color correcting." This makeup product is similar to a foundation, but is not necessarily the same thing. Some brands add additional ingredients to their CC creams to provide more coverage and some brands keep it minimal, focusing more on the skincare benefits. These creams are more lightweight than a typical foundation and can range in amount of coverage from sheer to full.
CC Creams often tout skincare benefits, such as anti-aging ingredients, SPF, hydration, etc.
They can be worn by themselves, combined with a primer, and/or under foundation. They are often very hydrating and good for your skin. Think "skincare with makeup in it." If you are using a CC cream just for the SPF benefit, you will want to reapply every 2 hours or so, just like a regular sunscreen. This product can help with color correcting, evening out the skin tone, blurring imperfections and giving a "filtered" effect, since it mimics the appearance of natural skin. Most CC creams will provide a dewy, glowing appearance of the skin, unless the product states otherwise (such as a mattifying CC cream).
If you're using it for color correction, apply a thin layer all over the face and allow it to dry down a bit before applying additional layers (for more full coverage). Continue to add small amounts of product, building up to your desired coverage. It should give you a natural finish that
mimics your skin. If you are using a CC Cream for the skincare benefits, use it as the last
step of your morning skincare routine. You can either leave it as it is, or continue
with foundation and the rest of your makeup routine.

You can apply CC Cream with a variety of tools, including your finger tips, a foundation or kabuki brush, or a beauty blender. I personally prefer to use a damp beauty blender because I feel I am able to get a more natural, flawless finish. Play around and see what works for you. Some people like to use a primer, some people like to apply it directly to the skin. It's ultimately up to you and what works best for your needs. These are seriously the best beauty blenders I've ever used. They are the perfect shape, get nice and large & pliable, and last a very long time. Interested in grabbing the perfect beauty blender? Click the link below to grab your own set:

I like to put a small dot directly onto my damp beauty blender and begin at the center of my cheeks. From there I blend the product out to the edges of my face, adding more product where necessary. I typically do two to three layers on my reddest areas where I have rosacea. Letting the product dry down a bit between layering will help a lot when you want to achieve a more full coverage. Also consider keeping the additional layers just where you need the extra coverage, rather than spreading it out all over your face as you did with your first layer.
Continue to blend until you reach your desired coverage.

When I have finished my CC Cream I either leave it as is or top it with a full coverage foundation, repeating the same process. Follow with any remaining liquid makeup products, then powder products, and finish with a setting spray. I like to use our All Day Setting Spray to help set the look and keep it dewy. We also just launched our loose setting powder that comes in three different shades. This will provide a more matte finish but is designed to still offer a luminous shine.
These two duos will give you a flawless finish that is natural and looks like your skin.
