featuring Vic Beauty Press Me On Nails

I'm not a huge "nail girl," but I'll be honest, I'm in LOVE with these press on nails. As a busy stay at home mom with two young boys, it's hard for me to get out of the house by myself. I'm lucky if I can squeeze in time to go to the grocery store without my kids, let alone go to a nail salon. Needless to say, my salon days are few and far between. I would get out maybe twice a year; once to put on acrylics and once to take them off.
As much as I can appreciate nails and how beautiful they can be, I just never have the time. Plus it takes a long time to get them done, and I never feel like I get exactly what I want. I don't know about you but there have been numerous times that I've gone with pictures saved to my phone to show them what I wanted and I left with something completely different. There have also been several times that my nails got ruined, or they file into my finger tips and I'm in pain for like a week until it heals. I know my husband means well when he tells me to "treat myself" with getting my nails done, but it just never works out how I want it too. On top of that I feel guilty spending $100 or more to get a mani/pedi...
One day at the grocery store I saw a Halloween set of press on nails that were so cute! They were long coffin shaped press on nails. I decided I wanted to give them a try because I knew I wouldn't be able to get out of the house to go get them done for Halloween, and to be honest I couldn't afford to at the time. So I grabbed my $15 nails and had so much fun designing my look and trying them out. But not even a couple hours went by before they started popping off. I ended up carrying my glue around with me everywhere I went! It was like "phone, keys, wallet, nail glue..." After about three or four days I had enough with reapplying multiple nails all day everyday and just took them all off. I gave a few more brands and styles some tries before I finally wrote off this style of nail. Oh and don't even get me started on nail polish and DIY dip nails...
Fast forward to now and I have FINALLY found cute nails that check all of my boxes! Vic Beauty Press Me On Nails are affordable, trendy, and incredibly strong! As a boy mom (and dog mom), my hands go through the wringer. What I love most about these nails is that I don't have to worry about them coming off! I can still do all of my regular day to day activities and not have any problems. I actually cleaned the entire house for company in one of these nail sets and didn't lose a single one. I'm talking mopping, dusting, laundry, vacuuming, huge loads of dishes, plus bath times, showering myself, doing makeup etc... This glue is the best nail glue I've ever tried! The thickness of these nails is just perfect too. I'm still able to open cans and unbuckle my kid's car seat with no issues.

Tips for Prepping Nail Application:
Start with clean and dry nails, with no nail polish
Gently buff nails with nail file
Use cuticle stick to push back cuticles
Use the alcohol pad to remove any remaining residue
Allow nails to dry before applying glue

Tips for Applying Press On Nails:
Go through all 24 of the nails and find the ones that best suit your nail sizes
Lay the nails out in front of you (just like your hands would look. Left to Right, pinky to thumb and thumb to pinky)
Once you have selected all of the nails and the designs match for each hand (or the look you want to achieve) flip the nails over for easier glue application
Place a small dot of glue on your natural nail and the press on nail
Slide the nail all the way down to the base of your cuticle
Make sure the nail is even and covers your natural nail
Press down firmly for about 30 seconds per nail to ensure a good bond
Be careful not to allow the glue to squeeze out the sides and stick to the finger applying pressure. If some glue comes out, work quickly to remove from skin & nails. Try using the cuticle stick or alcohol pad to avoid skin to skin adhesion.
If you have a more clear nail design, make sure you get the air bubble out before applying pressure so that you get an even color on top of your nail

How to Remove Press On Nails:
When you are ready to change your nails, or simply take them off, grab a bowl of warm soapy water and a towel
Soak your finger tips in the bowl of warm soapy water for about 10 minutes
As your fingers are soaking, gently press on the tips and sides to help the water get under the press on nail
When the nail has loosened, gently slide from one side to the other with a different fingernail to remove the press on nail
Do not tug or pull the nail before it is ready to come off. This can be painful and you may rip off part of your natural nail from it soaking in the water. If it does not come off easily, allow it to soak longer.
When you get to the last nail, simply grab one of the already removed nails to slide under the last nail to remove it.
You may have some glue residue remaining on your natural nail. This is okay and to be expected. You can try to gently buff it off with the nail file provided in your box, or you can allow it to come off naturally.
Pick out your next box of nails to apply and repeat the process!
